UC Irvine should be a campus where students have opportunities to freely express themselves.
Isaac Y will work towards creating a “Free Expression Wall” at UCI, on which any member of the campus community may freely express themselves.
Once approved, students may paint the wall to express their feelings, advertise events, or just to kill time.

At UC Irvine, the student body has done a phenomenal job in reducing our carbon footprint on campus. But we can do more.
As an active member of GreenPeace, Isaac Y understands that fighting for the environment is not something we can procastinate about. ASUCI must work proactively in making UCI a greener campus.

Isaac Y will work with UCI Administration and UCI Parking to offer free parking on campus on weekends, and on weekdays between 10PM and 7AM. This policy is in effect at UC San Diego, and would create a new reality for night life at UCI.

Our current leadership has failed the Greek Community once again. What progress have we seen over the past year?
As active members of the Greek community, we all know a Greek Row will not come without a fight. From Day 1, I will form a committee specifically committed to advocating for the development of a Greek Row. A realistic roadmap will be created for both our committee, and the Greek Presidents Council to follow. It’s not a one man job, and it’s not gonna be easy. Chapter representatives MUST take an active role in this, but I’m committed to proactively fighting for our needs, and will serve as an ally to EVERY SINGLE CHAPTER ON CAMPUS. No favoritism, and no empty promises here…
Far too many Greeks have run for ASUCI on the platform that they will fight for our needs, and far too many have failed.

Each year, over one million rides are taken on ASUCI Shuttles, which greatly reduces our carbon footprint, as well as traffic and congestion on campus. Although the Shuttle System already provides great convenience to students, we must further expand it to assist in accomodating our growing student body. At peak hours on some routes, busses surpass capacity forcing some riders to wait extra time for their ride.
Additionally,
Yerushalmi plans to create a late night shuttle that runs on Thursday from 9PM-2AM to Newport Beach.

Support our 23 Division 1 sports teams by increasing the quality and quantity of tailgates and pub pre-games, and engaging Greeks, the Cross, and other student organizations to take part in supporting our athletic teams. I will work towards offering shuttle services to weekend games from Newport, Parkwest, and on campus housing in order to increase attendance and make UCI into a more environmentally friendly campus.

As a member of an IFC Fraternity, I understand the needs of the Greek community. I share an outstanding relationship of nearly 2 years with our Chancellor, Vice Chancellor, and Dean of Students, and will aggressively lobby and fight for the changes we want to see on campus. A Greek Row cannot be promised in one, two, or even three terms, so we need to create a long term plan of where we envision the Greek Community at UCI in 5 years, 10 years, and 20 years. FACT: Greek Alumni donate disproportionately more to UCI compared to non-Greek Alumni. By creating a Greek Alumni Association, and engaging in open and honest dialogue with our Administration, UCI’s Greek Community will gain political power and will see real results.
